Q: What is the Comic Book Literacy Documentary?
A: Comic Book Literacy is an independent documentary film that showcases the utilization of comic books to promote literacy and education. Throughout the film educators, researchers, writers and artists give commentary in both an historic and contemporary context on a variety of subjects related to the topic.
Q: Where and when can I see the film?
A: Production on the film is complete and we are currently submitting to film festivals and comic book conventions for screenings throughout 2010. Click HERE to see if there is an upcoming screening in your area. We hope to secure a distribution deal soon.
Q: How long is the film?
A: The run time is 70 minutes (1 hour, 10 minutes).
Q: Are any of my favorite comic book writers or artists featured in the film?
A: Yes! Well...probably...depending on who your favorite is. Click HERE to see who was interviewed for the film.
Q: Can I purchase a copy of the film?
A: Not yet. We hope to secure distribution soon.
Q: I maintain a program that utilizes comic books for education. Is it possible to feature my program in the film?
A: Unfortunately production has been completed but we'd still love to hear about any work being done in the field. We like to promote these types of programs on our BLOG. Please feel free to send us the information.
